As if the news in the previous blog from this afternoon wasn’t exciting enough, God has sweetened the deal with some more great news. We weren’t sure if the new house would be finished in time for us to move in by the time we have to vacate the old one–in 9.25 days. We were aware that it could be a close call. In any event, we sold the house and that is great. Well, we found out that we will be able to move things in early, as we had wished for. In fact, we can start today! What an amazing 48 hours this has been. What an amazing God we serve!

Well, it’s been a while since I mentioned building or selling houses. The new house is very close to finished. The current house has a contract on it–finally. It’s an amazing story, though, and just like our God to make it interesting
We got a call Wednesday night that someone had looked at the listing online and loved the pictures they saw. They drove by and decided to walk around and look at things since there were no cars in the driveway. They liked it enough to ask for a verbal agreement that night! Did you get the part about them not having even seen the inside except from 9 pictures on the internet? I know, we didn’t think it made sense either.

depending on the direction you are facing when you look at Randall House Publications. After a few days of playing Fievel’s games of hide and seek, we purchased the sticky playgrounds for him to begin a new game–called catch. They were unveiled for him yesterday and he was given a late curfew last night to enjoy them.
Enjoy them, he did! This morning he was found dancing on one of the playgrounds. I was not in the office yet, but I have heard that my wonderful boss, Danny, took him out “west” for me. I apologize for not getting the picture as I had promised, but I cannot say that I am sad about the “trip” Fievel got to take. Thanks for enjoying this adventure with me. I will get back to the regularly scheduled blogs soon. I keep learning more lessons from life and I haven’t even shared some of the other ones yet. Stay tuned. It’s a crazy time right now.

Well, the traps were empty and some had been licked clean. However, we have made progress. I had not been in the office 5 minutes before Fievel realized the weekend retreat was over and he should go back into hiding.
I heard a noise behind me (similar to what I heard last week when this saga began) and turned to see him perched on a plug that was plugged into a socket on the back wall of the office. He looked at me as I yelled for Danny ( my boss who was out of town last week and missed the excitement ) and then jumped to an old phone jack whole 8 inches from his perch and disappeared into the wall. Danny came and taped it up before he went to get steel wool. He returned within minutes and secured the whole formerly known as Fievel’s front door.
Since that time, I have heard Fievel scratching and looking for a back door, but he hasn’t bothered the steel wool.
I wonder if I’ll need lots of air freshener soon. What do you think?

I no longer work in the rodent latrine. My dear office mate, the mouse, has left me clues that indicate the space formerly known as my office is more than his latrine. Apparently, he read yesterday’s blog entry and wanted to reassure me. So, he took the time to nibble from or wipe clean each of 5 different traps in the room–without springing any of them. He cared enough to attempt to alleviate my disgust at working in a mouse’s potty room. How nice of him! (As if working in a multi-purpose facility for Fievel is supposed to make it all better.)
So, I am off to purchase some nice little sticky playgrounds for him. I want to enhance his experience, if possible. I hope to have reason to write more later and tell you about a new movie, titled “Fievel Goes West!”
