I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I was overwhelmed with thankfulness several times yesterday as we spent the day with my brother, his wife, and her family in their new home. God sure has enriched my life by bringing Nichole and her family into ours.
Today, the girls and I are having fun making Chex Mix and Pilgrim Hats. Shopping just didn’t appeal to me today. There are spots of melted chocolate in various stages of hardening throughout the kitchen area, but we are having fun and making memories. The process is somewhat messy and time consuming–probably greater than the reward of eating them will be. Oh well! The process is the real reward anyway.
I have often regretted wasting time shopping and fighting the crowds. However,I have never had a moment of regret making memories with my girls.
On this day after Thanksgiving, I am still overwhelmed with thankfulness. Right now, it’s for the gift of motherhood. I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Oops, a new spot of melted chocolate just landed on the carpet. This isn’t a memory I’d like to preserve. I am off to get the Resolve!
