I followed a car on the way to work that was plastered with bumper stickers. At one point during the commute we were stopped at a traffic light and I began to read them. Wow! Some people don’t care what they have written all over their cars. There were too many to read and some I wish I hadn’t seen, but one stood out to me as I waited for the light to turn green. It read TAKE ME TO YOUR LEADER in a neon green color that probably glowed in the dark. Read more »
Steve and I just returned from a Marriage retreat sponsored by our church. As he gave Andie one last kiss, she nonchalantly tossed out a request. “Daddy, I know it’s not all about me, but if you and mommy have time, could you bring us back a surprise?”
This is something we started whenever one or both of us has to be gone. We try to find a little something from where we went (or from my gift box at home in the closet–shhhhhh 
) to bring back to them.
We realized we had not kept up this little tradition the last several times we traveled due to the remote location we traveled to, or the busy schedule we kept while gone. So, we decided to make it a priority for this trip. Read more »
