Well, it happened again. I had good intentions that failed to grow to reality. Have you ever gotten to the end of a day and didn’t finish checking things off “the list”? I am here! I just finished looking at the list, trying to figure out how to justify not getting some of it accomplished. But I’ve been busy all day. I feel like a lot has been accomplished!

cleaning toolsIt’s not a secret to anyone who reads this blog that we are smack dab in the middle of craziness in our family. There’s a lot going on and our house is a MESS right now. That fact was about to push me over the edge a few nights ago as I assigned my children jobs to help get things cleaned up.Steve was working on the design of a logo and wanted my input. I stopped folding clothes to look over his shoulder and offer feedback. Soon, Abby appeared and praised Daddy for the cool look of his design. ironLife is CRAZY for us right now. We are trying to get a house ready to sell, building another house, involved with a building project for the Children’s Ministry Center at our church, holding down full-time out of house jobs and trying to keep up the many in-house jobs as possible.
I know we aren’t the only ones who have a crazy schedule right now–and we certainly don’t have the worst schedule out there–by any means!
In the midst of it, though, I am amazed at how the Lord is using our family and friends to encourage us and bear us up under the burdens of this time in our lives. Our friends are “iron sharpening iron” for us these days, and I cannot thank God enough for the impact that has had in our lives. It has inspired me to be more aware of opportunities to “iron”.

What about you? Have you “ironed” lately?

Okay, so I hear you. It’s not okay to have this blog and neglect it as I have done. I’m back and I’m pledging to make a post every day–okay every week :)

It’s been hard for me to “go public” with my thoughts and life, so bear with me. Stay tuned for a real post in the next 24 hours–I promise.

    Have a great Monday afternoon.
